The Federal University Oye-Ekiti is one of the new nine Federal universities recently established by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The University will commence academic activities at its two campuses situated in Oye-Ekiti (for courses in Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science) and Ikole-Ekiti (for courses in Agricultural Technology and Engineering) with effect from 2011/2012 academic session
